Detecting paranormal activity typically involves monitoring an environment for changes that cannot be attributed to natural or man-made sources. Investigators start by surveying a location to identify all existing electromagnetic sources — wiring, appliances, and electronic devices — to establish a baseline. Once the baseline is set, any significant deviation in EMF readings, unexplained sounds, or temperature changes becomes a point of interest.
